The swamp ash see through blue body is really beautiful and the neck is great too. But there is no shielding at all and the electronics are bad and very cheap. So there is a lot of hum and noise. Also I expected the pickguard to be in white pearl, but it was just white with a sticker saying "American swamp ash". I will replace the controlplate with the Richter JB-VVT passive electronics controlplate that is already shielded. I might also replace the pick-ups. Conclusion: if this bass would have had better electronics and hardware, e.g. made by Wilkinson, and would have been properly shielded, then this bass would have been great. Now this is a very mediocre bass with a lot of issues.
