Mini Fog Machines
A mini smoke machine, in other words a small fog machine rated at 400 to 700 W, is enough for a house party, Halloween, New Year's Eve, a birthday celebration or a band gig in a small club. Here you will find compact machines from Light4Me, LWS, Eurolite, ADJ, Eliminator Lighting, Evolights and Cameo with tanks holding 0.15 to 3 litres. Most of them weigh 3 kg or less, so you can easily carry one from the living room to the car. Many switch on with a wireless remote control, and several have coloured LEDs that light up the fog. For large halls and stages, you will find more powerful machines over 700 W among all our fog machines.
How powerful should a smoke machine be for a party at home?
For a living room, a garage party or a small club, 400 to 500 W is enough. A fog machine like this usually heats up in 3 to 5 minutes, releases a burst of fog and then needs a moment to reheat. A machine with 600 to 700 W produces fog for longer without a break, so it suits a party that lasts all evening or a smaller stage.
Small models have a tank holding 0.25 to 0.3 litres, so during a longer event you will need to top it up. If you would rather not refill it, choose a machine with a bigger tank, for example the Mister Kool EP with 0.8 litres or the ADJ Fog Fury Jett with 3 litres.
What are LED lights and a remote control for?
LEDs in the front panel colour the fog right at the nozzle, so the effect works even without any other lights. Coloured diodes feature on models such as the Light4Me FOG 400 LED, FM 500 LED V2 and PARTY FOG 700W V2, while the FOG 600W LED BALL adds a light ball with a disco effect and the FOG VERTI 400 LED blasts fog straight upwards. With the remote you release fog exactly when you want it, for instance as you walk on stage or at midnight. Bands and DJs appreciate models with DMX, such as the ADJ Fog Fury Jett or Cameo Phantom H2, which can be controlled from a lighting desk.
What fluid does a fog machine need?
A fog machine needs a special fluid, which you will find among our fog fluids. Do not pour plain water or any other liquid into it, as it can damage the heater. If instead of thick clouds you want a fine haze in which light beams are visible, take a look at hazers.
