Mastering-Style Studio Desk for Hardware-Based Production

The Zaor Maestro 24+12 Silver Black is a low-profile studio workstation built around the workflow of mastering engineers and hardware-focused producers. Its mastering-style layout places 24U of rack gear in front of the operator, with another 12U below for power supplies. Open side panels keep the rack cool, while the non-reflective desktop is tuned for critical listening.

What Sets the Maestro 24+12 Apart

Few studio desks combine acoustic treatment with this much rack real estate in a compact footprint. The acoustic felt desktop and rear absorption panels suppress comb-filter reflections that color the monitoring signal. A dual cable path routes power and audio along separate channels, keeping mains hum away from sensitive analog gear.

Dimensions, Rack Capacity and Build

The physical footprint of the Maestro 24+12 fits smaller mastering rooms without sacrificing gear capacity. Every measurement balances rack space, legroom and acoustic clearance.

• Width: 107.2 cm — fits a single mastering-grade monitor array while leaving room for outboard on either side
• Height: 83.7 cm — low-profile seating position that keeps screens and speakers on the optimal listening plane
• Depth: 105.0 cm — leaves enough rear space for a video monitor shelf, hard drives and acoustic panels
• Rack Capacity: 36U total (24U desktop + 12U lower) in 19-inch format, split for frequently used gear above and utilities below
• Cable Management — dual-path routing with a metal crossbar and dedicated holes separates power from audio runs, reducing hum and interference

Engineers Who Want Their Rack Within Reach

Engineers who need their outboard at their fingertips will find this desk a strong fit. The mastering-style layout suits anyone who still likes to touch knobs and watch meters rather than automate everything from a DAW. Hybrid setups benefit from the 12U lower rack for power conditioners and converters, keeping the desktop uncluttered. The compact footprint also fits smaller project studios where rack capacity is non-negotiable.
