The Moxie is Brian Wampler’s twisted take on a vintage ‘screamer style’ circuit in a compact, pedalboard friendly enclosure. The original Ibanez Tube Screamer is one of the most emulated circuit designs of all time and has been pushing amplifiers since it was first released in the late 1970s. Capable of anything from light boost to a gritty drive that can send an amplifier into heavily overdriven tones, the Moxie is an ultra-flexible, wonderfully warm and rich pedal but with an extra bite. The Voice switch adds clarity by changing the entire EQ associated with this design giving it a more transparent yet robust tone. The Fat switch adds an extra dimension of gain with a custom MOSFET clipping stage, reminiscent of a classic high-end boutique amp.

Overdrive simulates the natural distortion of a tube amplifier pushed to higher volume levels. It produces a warm, smooth, and dynamic tone with mild clipping that responds to playing intensity. It is used to achieve a more expressive sound in both lead and rhythm parts, especially in blues, rock, and country music.

It has a true bypass function, which ensures that when the effects are turned off, the signal passes directly through the unit without influence or degradation.
