Vildhjarta is a progressive metal band from Hudiksvall, Sweden, known for their Meshuggah-inspired djent style marked by heavily down-tuned guitars, complex rhythms, and atmospheric layers. Formed in 2005, the band released a demo called Omnislash in 2009 and their debut album Måsstaden in 2011 after signing with Century Media Records. Their follow-up EP, Thousands of Evils, appeared in 2013, and their second album, Måsstaden under vatten, arrived in 2021. Since 2025, the lineup features guitarist Calle Thomér, vocalist Vilhelm Bladin, and drummer Buster Odeholm, with Thomér as the longest-standing member. The band's name, meaning wildheart in Swedish, is inspired by a module from the role-playing game Drakar och Demoner.
