The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra is a renowned Czech ensemble made up of leading classical, jazz, and guest musicians, many of whom come from the State Opera and the Czech National Theatre. Originally founded in 1947 as the Film Symphony Orchestra for Barrandov Film Studios, it underwent several name changes before adopting its current title in 1992.
