Electro-acoustic guitar with Orchestra Model shape that is handcrafted in Takamine’s pro series facility that has been building precision quality instruments over five decades. The Orchestra Model shape, with its strong lower midrange and versatile dynamics, is enjoying a resurgence. This guitar model matches a solid cedar top to solid Hawaiian Koa back and sides to create a harmonic richness and dynamic playing experience. The 12th fret is adorned with a sun setting behind a palm tree on a deserted island. The instrument features a fully bound body and a rosewood fingerboard. The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a traditional, ultra strong dovetail joint. The guitar is equipped with Takamine’s proprietary CTP-3 Cool Tube preamp system paired with the unique Palathetic under-saddle pickup for peerless amplified response. The dual-channel system provides low-voltage tube tone, variable from bright and brilliant to thick and warm, three band EQ with semi-parametric midrange, auxiliary input and volume (for use when a second pickup is added), and an onboard chromatic tuner.
