Steinberg Cubase Artist 16 Education (Digital product)

Cubase Artist 16 Education — Professional DAW at a Student-Friendly Price

Cubase Artist 16 Education is Steinberg's mid-tier DAW packaged as a single-user educational license for students and teachers. The full version ships with everything needed to record, compose, edit and mix on macOS or Windows, and the education edition unlocks the same toolset at a discounted price. Unlimited tracks, a 64-bit engine and 192 kHz resolution support projects from electronic music to band recordings.

What Sets the Artist Edition Apart

Version 16 introduces Instrument Stacks for layering multiple instruments on a single track, the DrumChain multi-effects processor for shaping drum sounds, and the Module FM library for HALion Sonic. The Key Editor gains Strum and Stretch functions so programmed chords feel expressive and MIDI passages can be stretched to fit an arrangement. VocalTouch, Omnivocal Basic and Waves Illugen integration round out the new vocal and mastering tools.

Who Is It For

Cubase Artist 16 Education is the right choice for music students, audio engineering learners and teachers who need a professional DAW without paying the full retail price. It suits producers working on electronic music, singer-songwriter projects and band recordings, where unlimited tracks and a deep plug-in library matter more than the surround tools reserved for Cubase Pro. The license requires proof of student or teacher status, and the perpetual model means no subscription renewals.

Steinberg and the Cubase Legacy

Steinberg's Cubase is one of the most established DAW families in the industry, behind countless chart-level productions. The Artist edition sits between the entry-level Elements and the flagship Pro, positioned as the version most producers call home.
