Sampa the Great is a Zambian singer, rapper, and songwriter born on August 9, 1993. After spending several years in Australia, she gained widespread recognition with her debut album The Return, which reached number 12 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2019. She has won multiple ARIA Music Awards, including Best Hip Hop Release and Best Female Artist, and made history as the first artist to win the Australian Music Prize twice. Since returning to Zambia in 2020, she released her second album, As Above, So Below, further establishing her innovative presence in global music.
