M-Live Lakyx L1 DMX Software, Interface

- Single USB-C cable handles both data and power from the B.Beat host
- 3-pin XLR DMX IN and OUT with built-in 120 Ω termination and hardware bypass

- Ultra-compact 84 × 80 × 61 mm enclosure weighing just 170 g
Compact 128-Channel DMX Interface for Synchronized Live Lighting
The M-Live Lakyx L1 is a hardware DMX interface that adds automated, music-driven lighting control to the B.Beat multitrack playback system. Once connected, it analyses each backing track and generates a coherent light show that follows the rhythm and dynamics of the song — no laptop or lighting console required on stage. With 128 DMX channels it covers the typical rig of a small-to-medium live setup, from PAR LEDs and moving heads to bars and strobes.
Automatic Light-Show Generation and Editable Scenes
What sets this interface apart from a generic USB-DMX dongle is the integrated audio-analysis engine inside the B.Beat Manager software. It reads the track and proposes a light sequence that can be refined scene by scene. Existing shows can be captured and re-imported into a backing-track project, and an updated fixture library lets the same show be re-mapped to different rigs without rebuilding cues.
DMX Control Capacity and Protocol Support
Channel count and protocol support set the ceiling for how large and how flexible a lighting rig can be.
- DMX Channels: 128 channels — covers small-to-medium rigs of PARs, bars, moving heads and strobes
- Protocols: DMX512 and Art-Net — wired XLR or network-based lighting on the same unit
- DMX Connectors: 1 × 3-pin XLR IN, 1 × 3-pin XLR OUT with built-in 120 Ω termination on both ports
Host Connection and Power
A single USB-C link to the B.Beat carries both data and power, removing the need for an external PSU on stage.
- Host Link: USB-C to B.Beat — data and bus power through one cable
- DMX Bypass: Hardware pass-through from IN to OUT — keeps the rig running if the host is offline
- Wireless Pairing: LINK button — reserved for future wireless DMX expansion modules
Form Factor and System Requirements
The enclosure is small enough to sit on a pedalboard or in a rack drawer, and light enough to forget it's there.
- Dimensions: 84 × 80 × 61 mm — fits next to the B.Beat on stage or in a case
- Weight: 170 g — negligible in a gig bag or rack
- System Requirements: 8 GB RAM minimum, 16 GB recommended, 6 GB free disk — for B.Beat Manager with the LAKYX plug-in
