Osiris by Libre Wave is a sample library that captures the essence of the simsimiyya, a traditional Egyptian lyre. This instrument is deeply rooted in the religious and cultural traditions of Egypt, particularly the Sinai Peninsula, and is known for creating a hypnotic, trance-like atmosphere.

Osiris provides a comprehensive set of features for authentic and expressive performances:

• Articulations: Includes plucked and picked sample sets, tremolo, ebow drone recordings, and percussive hits. Additional articulations combine these samples for rich and varied tones.
• Round Robins and Dynamics: The plucked articulation offers twelve round robin repetitions per note, while the picked articulation includes six, with samples recorded at three dynamic levels triggered by MIDI velocity.
• Maqams: Features playable maqams (Middle Eastern scales) with key-switches or an on-screen dial to switch between pre-programmed maqams. The on-screen keyboard updates to show playable notes and those that play a quarter tone lower.
• Real-time Control: Dedicated retrigger key-switch for playing double notes or tremolo in real-time, and pitch bend variations triggered by high MIDI velocity.
• Interface: Provides standard velocity curve and ADSR envelope controls for detailed sound shaping.
