Keith Richards, born in 1943 in Dartford, Kent, is an English musician best known as a founding member, guitarist, and key songwriter of the Rolling Stones. His creative partnership with Mick Jagger produced many of rock’s most iconic songs, and his distinctive guitar style has defined the band's sound for over sixty years. Richards also sings lead on Rolling Stones tracks such as "Happy" and "Before They Make Me Run," and leads his own project, The X-Pensive Winos. Known for his rebellious image and turbulent personal life, Richards played Captain Teague in the Pirates of the Caribbean films, a character inspired by his own persona. He has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame, and is widely recognized as one of rock’s greatest guitarists.
