However, guitarists discovered that "Junior" was somewhat of a misnomer — it had a big, bold, and totally unique sound that was embraced by bluesman, garage rockers, psychedelic guitarists, and proto-punks. For this stunning reissue, Gibson went back to the very beginning of the SG Junior, meticulously replicating the guitar's signature features, including an extended neck tenon, hide glue construction, and a single P-90 pickup — a favorite of guitarists.
