Dead Can Dance is a British-Australian band formed in Melbourne in 1981 by Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard, later moving to London. Known for their unique blend of musical influences, their sound combines African rhythms, Gaelic folk, Gregorian chant, Middle Eastern tones, mantras, and art rock to create haunting and atmospheric soundscapes. After disbanding in 1998, they reunited for tours in 2005 and 2011, releasing the album Anastasis. Their latest album, Dionysus, came out in 2018, followed by a European tour in 2022.
