Corrosion of Conformity is a heavy metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982. Originally playing hardcore punk, the band later developed a slower, blues-influenced metal sound. Over the years, the lineup has changed frequently, with guitarist Woody Weatherman as the only constant member. The group’s best-known lineup features Weatherman, bassist Mike Dean, drummer Reed Mullin, and vocalist Pepper Keenan. After taking a break in 2006, the band reunited and Keenan returned in 2014. Following the passing of Mullin in 2020, John Green joined as drummer, and Dean left again in 2024. Corrosion of Conformity gained mainstream attention with albums like Deliverance, which included the hits Albatross and Clean My Wounds, and Wiseblood. Their most recent album, No Cross No Crown, released in 2018, marked their highest position on the Billboard 200 chart.
