Brittany Howard is an acclaimed American musician from Athens, Alabama. She first gained recognition in the early 2010s as the dynamic lead vocalist and songwriter for Alabama Shakes, earning four Grammy Awards and nine nominations with the band. Beyond Alabama Shakes, she has contributed to projects like Thunderbitch and Bermuda Triangle. After the band went on hiatus in 2018, she launched a celebrated solo career, with her debut album Jaime earning seven Grammy nominations and winning Best Rock Song for Stay High. Her second album, What Now, arrived in February 2024. Alabama Shakes is set to reunite for a tour in the summer of 2025.
