ARP 2600 M Synthesizer
Modelled after the iconic 1971 ARP 2600, the ARP 2600 M brings this legendary semi-modular synthesizer back to life in a compact, portable format that retains all the analog character of the original. Produced in collaboration with ARP Instruments, this reimagined edition captures approximately 60% of the original instrument's footprint while preserving every core element that made the ARP 2600 a cornerstone of synthesis history.
Authentic Analog Signal Path
The ARP 2600 M features the same fundamental architecture as the original: a fully analog signal path with voltage-controlled oscillators, a voltage-controlled filter, a voltage-controlled amplifier, and dedicated envelope generators. Two selectable filter circuits recreate the original 4012-type and 4072-type designs, allowing players to shape the sonic character from the original 1971 sound through to the revised circuit introduced in later revisions of the instrument.
Semi-Modular Flexibility
Like the original ARP 2600, the 2600 M operates without any patching required — internal normalized connections allow immediate sound design straight out of the box. At the same time, the full patch bay opens up limitless routing possibilities, enabling users to rewire the signal path, connect external gear, or build complex modular setups. Both 3.5 mm and ¼" jacks are provided for broad compatibility.
Spring Reverb and Built-In Speakers
An integrated spring reverb adds warmth and space to the sound, staying true to the original design. Built-in monitor speakers make it possible to play and experiment without external amplification, making the 2600 M equally suited to studio work and live performance.
Modern Connectivity
USB-A and USB-B ports provide MIDI connectivity for integration with computers, hardware sequencers, and other MIDI devices. The standard 5-pin DIN MIDI output and input ensure compatibility with classic gear, while stereo L/R outputs connect directly to any audio system.
Included Accessories
The ARP 2600 M ships with a dedicated carry case and a set of exclusive ARP stickers, making it ready for transport to the studio, stage, or wherever inspiration strikes.
Polyphony: 2
The polyphony of this instrument allows up to <%=tp_value % notes to be played simultaneously, providing rich and complex musical possibilities.
Pitch Bend: Yes
The Pitch Bend allows smooth pitch changes, adding expressiveness to musical expression. Often used to create effects such as glissando or vibrato, this feature allows the player to make subtle or dramatic changes to the sound in real time. Pitch bend allows musicians to create smooth transitions between notes, increasing the dynamics and expressiveness of their performances.
Modulation: Yes
Modulation allows you to change different aspects of the sound in real time, opening up a wide range of creative possibilities. For example, it can affect the pitch of the sound, creating a vibrato effect, or it can change the amplitude of the signal, creating a tremolo effect. It can also adjust filtering to create smooth transitions between frequency bands and dynamic textures. Modulation can also be used to change the character of the sound depending on the time or intensity of playing, giving the sound a lively and moving character.
Sequencer: Yes
The sequencer provides musicians with a tool for composing and arranging music, allowing them to create and edit musical sequences. This feature allows you to record and play back repeating patterns. This makes it easy to create complex rhythms and melodies. The sequencer also allows you to layer different musical elements on top of each other, sync with other devices, and adjust parameters in real time. This flexibility makes the sequencer an invaluable tool for producing music, experimenting with new sounds and creating original compositions.
Headphone Output: Yes
The headphone output allows direct connection of headphones for private listening. This output provides a convenient way to enjoy the sound without disturbing others or ambient noise.
