Apocalyptica is a symphonic metal band from Helsinki, Finland, formed in 1993. The group features three classically trained cellists who blend classical music with heavy metal, creating a distinctive sound without traditional guitars or bass. Starting as a Metallica tribute act, Apocalyptica has developed its own neoclassical metal style and has sold over four million albums worldwide.
