The Sommer Cable Quantum Highflex Multipair 8 is a professional 8-pair multicore cable sold by the metre, designed for stage, studio, and permanent installation use. Each pair is individually shielded with a tin-plated copper spiral at 99% coverage, keeping crosstalk and noise low across long runs. The S-PVC jacket stays flexible down to -30°C and is completely torsion-free, so it lays flat on a drum and uncoils without twisting. With a 110 Ω characteristic impedance and 45 pF/m capacitance, it remains AES/EBU-compliant over hundreds of metres for both analogue and digital signals. OFC copper conductors (0.14 mm², AWG 26) and PE-insulated pairs make it easy to terminate with XLR connectors for custom stageboxes and looms.
