Schaller Lock-Wheels Black — Patented Locking Nut for S-Locks Strap Locks

The Schaller Lock-Wheels Black are the strap-side locking nuts that complete the Schaller S-Locks strap-lock system. They mount on the strap end of the lock body and are what actually hold the strap in place, so they are the component that decides whether a guitar or bass stays on the player or ends up on the floor. Sold as a pair, this Black-finish version matches the rest of the S-Locks hardware on dark-coloured instruments and hardware sets.

Designed as a direct replacement or upgrade for the wheels shipped with S-Locks, the Lock-Wheels use Schaller's patented self-locking thread so they can be tightened safely by hand without tools. A 2-hole mount accepts a 2 mm Allen key or screwdriver for firmer tightening torque when maximum hold is needed, and a stainless steel grub screw with a tapered cap and slot (M2.5 x 5 mm) locks the wheel in place permanently. The grub screw can be unscrewed later, leaving the thread functional so the wheel can be removed and re-fitted.

Compatibility and What Is in the Box

The Lock-Wheels are intended exclusively for the current Schaller S-Locks system and are not compatible with older Schaller Security Locks. Schaller recommends always using the new S-Lock lock with Lock-Wheel on the strap, which keeps the player compatible with all existing S-Lock strap buttons (sizes S, M and L) and lets the player benefit from the new Lock-Wheel design. Each package contains 2 Lock-Wheels for S-Locks in the Black finish.
