SPARK is an EBM and synth group from Falkenberg, Halland, founded in 2007 by Mattias Ziessow and Stefan Brorsson. The band blends early electronic body music influences with a more modern and melodic sound, often marked by thoughtful lyrics infused with irony and social commentary. After their debut album 65 Ton Stal in 2007, SPARK released a series of albums and singles, becoming known for energetic live performances and their knack for catchy yet powerful synth-driven tracks. The lineup saw changes, with Christer Hermodsson joining on vocals for a period, before the original duo reunited in 2023. Notable releases over the years include Hela din värld, Maskiner, and Chaos, with songs like Zombie and Cause and Effect gaining particular attention. In 2024, SPARK released the single Vi Är Två Mot En Miljon and announced work on new material, continuing their strong presence in the Scandinavian EBM and synth scene.
