The thing is, this is a really good little guitar. From the Grover tuners to the high-quality pickups to the pots and all the way to the fingerboard, it's incredibly well put together. Much more expensive guitars are of this quality, and they've snapped up the ones in stock. This coil split thing is really good, of course a humbucker will never become a single coil, but you can achieve a similar, thinner, tinkling sound with it. The upper tone pot can also be turned up, you can adjust the phase there. Maybe it reverses the phase? Maybe something like that... However, expect it to be a relatively heavy instrument, 4.2 kg. My much cheaper Cort Super ST guitar is 3.2 kg, and you can feel the difference. However, the larger guitar body has a really nice decay to the sound. Since the instrument provides a very versatile sound, I think it can stand up to many different styles. For those who don't understand this coil split thing, the essence of it is that you have a humbucker pickup, in which two coils amplify the signal. In a single coil, there is only one. The first one can produce a less noisy and more toned sound, while the second one has nicer highs. Coil split makes two separate coils from the two connected coils, so the final sound will have less bass and more treble. In a word, a hundred, for this much money, this is actually a gift.
