• Compatibility with the Studio Connections standard The smaller of the MO6 brothers has 61 keys and has AWM2 sound creation technology. The tools retain most of the important features from Motif ES. The main differences that distinguish these new models from their "bigger brother" are the absence of a sampler, tape controller and slots for plug-in expansion cards. So, if you can do without these conveniences and have been eyeing the Yamaha Motif ES, but were put off by the higher price, then the new MO range will be the right tool for you. Another interesting feature, also known from many more expensive instruments, is the ability to control a software sequencer or other software directly from the toolbar. Yamaha MO is thus compatible with Cubase SX3, SQ01, Sonar 4, Pro Logic 7 and others.
