The pad switch can lower recordings by 10 dB in order to realize a distortion-free podcast in loud surroundings. Undesired interfering frequencies in the lower frequency range can already be faded out in the run-up. The recording quality can be checked directly via the integrated adjustable headphones output before the signal is being streamed so there will be no nasty surprises during recordings.
