This 12AX7 vacuum-tube-based preamp includes a Gain control and a Tube Drive tube-saturation control that allows user to decide how much signal to put through the tube. It provides a 48V phantom power, an 80 Hz high-pass filter, a -20 dB pad, and a polarity-reverse switch. And of course, the unit delivers the highly prized tube warmth and sports an analogue, backlit VU meter. Thanks to separate instrument and mic inputs, it also serves as a dynamite direct box (DI) for guitars and basses.
