Custom soprano Eb wood clarinet with Boehm fingering that was designed with some of the world's greatest clarinetists, and has a deep round sound which can either blend with others or project a solo passage. Its delightful appearance compliments the smooth warm tone. The one-piece grenadilla wood body is resistant to temperature and humidity fluctuations, while the pressure fitted nickel-silver bell ring increases density of the bell and creates a smoother, warmer tone quality. The clarinet features tapered tone holes with hand-tapered undercut – each tone hole is individually hand-tapered and undercut for optimum tone quality, intonation, and uniform response throughout the instrument's range. Integral tone holes are carved directly into the body of the instrument, achieving uniform resonance and response as well as rich tone colour. The instrument further features 17 silver-plated nickel silver keys and 6 rings, a 42mm long barrel, machined bore and fixed thumb rest, the Yamaha 4C mouthpiece with silver-plated cap and ligature, blue steel needle spring type, Lucien deluxe double skin pads and threaded posts.
