Taj Hendrix "Tash" Sultana, born on 15 June 1995, is an Australian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer known for captivating loop-style performances and a five-octave vocal range. Emerging from Melbourne’s busking scene and self-releasing music on Bandcamp since 2013, Sultana gained international attention with the 2016 single "Jungle," which reached third place in Triple J's Hottest 100. A skilled "one-person band," Sultana performs with a wide array of instruments, including guitar, keyboard, saxophone, and more. The 2016 EP Notion and a subsequent sold-out world tour marked the rise of Sultana’s global following, highlighted by further recognition in Triple J’s Hottest 100 in 2017 with tracks like "Mystik" and "Murder to the Mind."
