Finish: Polished

The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.

Body: Basswood

American Linden is a light and soft wood that produces a balanced tone with an emphasis on the mid-range, soft bass and smooth highs. It features a neutral sound characteristic that allows for detailed and accurate sound reproduction. It is popular for its light weight, which makes the guitar comfortable to play.

Neck: Maple

Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.

Fretboard: Rosewood

Rosewood is a dark, dense wood that offers a warm, rich tone with excellent response and sustain. The rosewood fingerboard is valued for its smoothness and comfortable feel while offering durability and longevity. It is popular for its rich sound and classic aesthetic.

Helloo, you aksed for, here is my answer. I am not too happy. i understand it is a budget instrument and i expect to find a cheap bridge, cheap tuners, ok. But the pick ups are really bad. low output, ok i live with it, crank the amp a little further. buit the PUs are missing any highs, even with tone 100%, AND they are not tracking polyphone playing like with chords. all in all they sound indifferent, muddy not clear, with deep notes and its a bass, there are a few to play, you cannot say wether its the right tone or not... Well, ass stated before: I am not happy. should have spent the same money on a harley benton and would not be disappointed.

Bass ist makellos verarbeitet. Sehr schöne Farbe. Der Hals Precisiontypisch etwas dicker.

The bass is flawlessly crafted. Very nice color. The neck is a bit thicker, typical for Precision.

Maybe you came across the SX basses while looking for an inexpensive Preci and are now wondering whether an SX bass is a recommended "gateway drug". Of course, you can try out other basses around the corner. SX basses are not necessarily available everywhere. For the price, it can't really be good, my gut feeling told me, but then you would have just wasted 169 euros. Or?! OK, if you're already playing in the upper or top class segment, you might not necessarily need to buy a bass like this. But especially for beginners or those switching (from JB to Preci), this bass is absolutely recommended! Now there may always be Sunday and Monday models, but my bass is very well made. The body and neck appear high quality and visually appealing. The fingerboard has no flaws and the instrument also stands up to skeptical glances at any manufacturing defects. Once unpacked and slung over your neck, you notice that it is not that top-heavy (as is typical for Precise). It hangs in the middle and you get the impression that you want to get started right away. My bass arrived with loosened strings, which makes sense, and needed a bit of fine-tuning before I could finally get started. The bridge does everything it's supposed to - after a few minutes, the string position and the tuning on the instrument and on me were getting better and better ;) I tested the bass at home with a small no-name combo and then later with the big set. And yep - a really good instrument for the price! What seems a little "cheap" are the potentiometer knobs and the pickups. The sound isn't that amazing, but: I fitted the bass with EMG Geezer Butler PHZ pickups, which were really fun to install and gave the bass a new quality. The advantage of the EMG set is that it is solder-free and the electrics and all the necessary parts are included. The pickups also fit well into the cutouts in the pickguard. Now it growls and snarls, but can also sound nice and warm and soft - and what can I say - as a long-time JB fan, I love this Preci so much that the JBs are starting to get jealous ;) I'm going to replace the tuning machines and the bridge (the bridge is really good - here it's more my visual requirements...). The tuning machines do what they're supposed to, but could be a little stiffer. But it's far from the case that you have to tune them after every song. Conclusion: pro: body, neck, balance of weight, varnish finish, fingerboard and frets, appearance contra: all whining at a high level: pickups, potentiometer knobs, tuning machines Highly recommended as an entry-level instrument! With tuning as desired it can become a good working tool!
