The Suhr Thornicus Fuzz is Ian Thornley's signature dual-channel fuzz pedal, developed through years of collaboration between Kevin Suhr and the Big Wreck frontman. Originally conceived as a single fuzz circuit with a shared octave switch, the design evolved into two completely independent channels — a classic Fuzz side and an Octave Fuzz side — each with its own dedicated controls. The result is a meticulously engineered stompbox for everything from vintage saturation to harmonically rich octave tones.

Two Independent Channels with Per-Channel Tone Shaping

Complete channel separation defines this pedal. Each side features its own passive Tone control ranging from thick warmth to tight brilliance, plus an independent Level knob for setting how hard the pedal hits the amplifier's input. The Octave side stacks an octave fuzz in front of the main fuzz, producing gritty, blooming overtones that react to playing dynamics.

Per-Channel Controls — Player-Facing Flexibility

Each channel's character can be shaped independently.

• Sustain: per-channel fuzz amount — sets gain-stage thickness and saturation
• Mids: per-channel midrange sweep — counter-clockwise for mid-scooped grunge; clockwise for mid-forward articulation
