From a bass player's perspective - > The pedal is useless without the Neuro App. The square, triangle and circle don't represent actual square, sine or saw waves, but rather the easily accessible presets that you have made. They might as well have marked them 1, 2 and 3. At first i was very disappointed because it didn't seem to track very well (or at all). It turned out i was plucking my bass too hard. I guess you can solve the problem by adjusting the sensitivity in the Neuro. Once you figure out how to pluck properly to trigger the effects when you need them, the pedal becomes golden. It's definitely worth buying. Don't put any other pedal before it, because you will mess up the tracking. It's either a standalone pedal or the first pedal in your chain. As for it's usefullnes and capabilities: 1. Saw, square and sine waves. The pedal can mix up to 4 voices and can have up to two saw, square and/or sine waves at the same time. So 2xsaw +2x sine is totally possible if that's what you want. 2. It has a built in pitch shifter, so if you don't want any other effect but you want your standard tuned bass to play a semitone down, you can do it. 3. It has built in distortions and fuzz. What the pedal does for your clean sound alone makes it worth it. 4. Many envelope filters that can be triggered in various ways 5. FM for sine waves, LFO 6. 16 and 32 note sequencers 7. Harmonizer that track accoring to set scale 8. 2 inputs and two outputs. You can technically plug two instruments (idk why you would do that) and have them operate independedly. Second input can be used for the so called "sidechaining" which tbh i don't know how and why it works. 9. It DOES come with power supply and the USB-A to USB-mini type B or w/e it's called. The cables necessary to plug it into a computer. 10. all of the above - synth waves, distortion, pitch shifter, harmonizer, envelope, sequencer etc can be stacked and work at the same time. Again, the pedal supports 4 voices and two processors (envelope, LFO, FM, sequencers). Bonus: the Neuro app holds a lot of very well made community presets that you can download for free. Just type Axel F or Thriller and you will get the necessary preset.
