Neumann MA 1 Measurement Microphone

The automatic monitor alignment system (Automatic Monitor Alignment) MA 1 ensures the best possible sound quality in any room, be it a living room or a listening studio. The calibrated measuring microphone in conjunction with the calibration algorithms, developed in cooperation with the Fraunhofer IIS Institute, guarantees optimal adjustment of amplitude and phase correction. The result of the process is absolutely accurate and reliable sound for ideal monitoring.

The MA 1 system is designed for direct control of the parameters of monitors equipped with a DSP converter - KH 80 DSP and KH 750 DSP. Through the KH 750 DSP subwoofer, you can also use calibration for "analog" monitors, i.e. KH 120, KH 310 and KH 420. Unlike standard calibration systems, MA 1 is an integral solution with completely new algorithms designed exclusively for Neumann monitors. No plugin or PC driver is needed for calibration, all data is stored in the monitor's DSP processor. The uniqueness of the MA 1 is the optimization of not only the amplitude but also the phase response. This provides the highest accuracy of tonality and reproduction.
