Little Feat is a rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1969 by Lowell George and Roy Estrada after their time with the Mothers of Invention. Alongside Bill Payne and Richie Hayward, they developed a distinctive sound that blended rock, blues, funk, and country. By 1972, the group's classic lineup included George, Payne, Hayward, Kenny Gradney, Paul Barrere, and Sam Clayton. Known for their musicianship and genre-mixing style, Little Feat disbanded in 1979 following George's departure and death but reunited in 1987. The band continues to perform and record, building on their legacy as influential innovators in American rock music.
