Korg Poetry Magnifique Poetic Brown Digital Piano
Experience the ultimate tribute to art and tradition.
The legendary Italian concert grand, chosen by the most distinguished contemporary pianists at prestigious international competitions, now joins the Poetry digital piano series with a meticulously restored and faithfully sampled 1843 PLEYEL instrument – Chopin’s favourite piano. And a stunning new model has just joined this celebrated series.
The latest evolution preserves two iconic piano sounds and elegant wood decor, while introducing a new design. The solid wood side panels not only provide a luxurious feel, strength and resonant properties of the instrument’s body, but also house a newly developed power unit, thanks to which every note acquires even greater depth and richness.
Named after the French word “Magnifique” – “magnificent”, “wonderful” – this instrument embodies the pursuit of the highest ideals of piano mastery. We dedicate this masterpiece to Chopin with pride and passion.
Two magnificent piano sounds in one instrument
Poetry Magnifique brings two extraordinary piano sounds: the majestic Italian concert grand piano, beloved by top performers, and the timeless 1843 PLEYEL grand piano, meticulously restored and faithfully sampled.
Italian Concert Grand Piano
Europe is home to many prestigious piano brands, but the Italian concert grand piano stands out as the new choice of modern pianists. It is repeatedly sought after and recognized by countless performers in international competitions. It is an instrument that responds to today's demands for new sound and new expression. Its tone is brilliant, transparent, full of color and exceptional depth of expression. Even a well-known piece sounds completely different on it - it stimulates the imagination and inspires.
1843 PLEYEL
PLEYEL is considered the piano that Chopin loved the most. It was in 1843, when he was 33 years old, that this particular instrument was created. Today, it has been carefully restored and faithfully sampled – its sound lives on in the Korg Poetry Magnifique. It carries the warmth of walnut wood, resonates richly and characteristically, and is able to capture the soul. With the Poetry Magnifique, you can finally make your dream come true: play Chopin’s music with the sound that Chopin himself loved.
Subtle elegance of wood decor
The beautiful and elegant wood surface in the shade “Poetic Brown” evokes the subtle warmth and cultivated aura of Chopin himself. With its calm, sophisticated appearance, it easily matches the entire spectrum of interior styles and fits naturally into any living space. Subtle details, such as the red felt accent at the base of the keys and pedals, complete the design with a touch of luxury.
Smooth, modern surface when closed
The Poetry Magnifique continues the award-winning tradition of a lid that transforms into a perfectly flat surface when closed. When not playing, the piano appears as one solid, elegant panel that blends harmoniously into your living room, parlor, or any stylish interior. The flat top also brings practicality - ideal for storing music, jotting down notes, or simply enhancing the elegance of your space.
New piano construction for rich resonance
To fully bring out the beauty of two iconic piano sounds and a wide range of expressive colors, the Poetry Magnifique has been thoroughly redesigned - from power supply to materials to construction and assembly.
EvoTone: A new chapter in sound development
Great sound is not just about top-notch samples. It depends on every link in the signal path, including the way the entire system is powered. EvoTone is a dedicated internal power supply system developed specifically for digital pianos. Unlike the conventional AC adapters used by many brands, EvoTone provides clean, stable power that reduces noise, minimizes distortion under dynamic loads, and allows the full tonal range of the instrument to shine.
This is the first time this system has been used in a Korg digital piano and represents a significant advancement in sound design. EvoTone enhances the attack of the tone, expands dynamic expression, and preserves even the finest musical details with exceptional clarity – especially in quiet passages and the most nuanced performances.
Precision-engineered speaker system for an authentic piano experience
The Poetry Magnifique features a carefully tuned speaker system that faithfully conveys the depth and brilliance of an acoustic piano. The result is radiant highs, warm bass, and balanced mids with clear, present projection. Every detail - from the materials used to the mechanical construction to the sound design - has been fine-tuned with an emphasis on maximum musicality.
A body that supports the sound
The new instrument cabinet is not just a design element - it also plays a key role in shaping the instrument's sound. Its solid, thoroughly sealed construction helps control speaker resonance and improves readability across the entire frequency range.
To ensure direct and clear tone projection, the speakers are located at the front of the piano, so the sound is not muffled even when the piano is placed close to a wall. SeeThanks to the built-in power supply, the Poetry Magnifique eliminates the need for an external adapter, and the entire design is clean and unobtrusive - ideal for smaller spaces.
RH3 keyboard - for a perfect playing feel
The Poetry Magnifique piano is equipped with the Korg Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 (RH3) keyboard, which was designed to imitate the subtle nuances of playing on a concert grand piano as closely as possible. The weight of the keys is graduated throughout the entire range - in the lower register the touch is heavier and towards the top the weight of the hammers gradually decreases, just like on an acoustic instrument. The RH3 keyboard responds extremely sensitively to rapid tone repetitions and subtle dynamic differences and precisely transmits the full expression of your playing.
The touch sensitivity setting offers five levels (light, normal, heavy, stable, fixed), so you can adapt the keyboard response to your own playing style.
Stereo Sound Optimizer
Stereo Sound Optimizer creates a natural sense of acoustic space when playing with headphones. It enhances spatial depth and realism, ensuring an immersive and more comfortable listening experience even during long playing sessions.
Full 3-pedal system with half-press support
The Poetry Magnifique features a full three-pedal system – sustain (damper), soft and sostenuto – just like a traditional piano. Both the sustain and soft pedals support half-press, allowing for greater nuance and control over your performance. The pedal positions have been carefully designed to provide a natural and comfortable playing experience.
Bluetooth Audio Support
Connect a Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a smartphone, to the Poetry Magnifique and enjoy playing the keyboard along with your favorite music or other audio. When you’re not playing, you can use the Poetry Magnifique as a powerful Bluetooth speaker system.
USB MIDI/AUDIO
Using a standard USB cable*, you can connect the E1 Air to your smartphone, tablet or computer to expand your creative possibilities. You can use the instrument as a MIDI controller to trigger external sound modules, record your performance as MIDI data, or play audio from a connected device directly through the E1 Air’s built-in speakers.
*A USB cable (sold separately) is required to connect to a PC, smartphone or tablet. For iPhone or iPad, a Lightning–USB camera adapter (sold separately) may be required, depending on the device model.
Commitment to the original sound of PLEYEL pianos
Representing the sound of the instruments once played by Chopin himself, Poetry Magnifique brings unique innovations made possible by digital technology while faithfully preserving the character of the PLEYEL piano sound.
“PLEYEL3” program - 80 keys like an original Pleyel piano
Poetry Magnifique offers three variations of the PLEYEL sound. One of them is the PLEYEL3, which faithfully reproduces the original 80-key range of the historical instrument. Since the Poetry Magnifique has 88 keys, the upper and lower eight keys do not make any sound in this program - an uncompromising detail that reflects the dedication to historical authenticity.
Easy switch to historical PLEYEL tuning (430 Hz)
Unlike the modern 440 Hz standard used by most instruments today, PLEYEL instruments were tuned slightly lower - to 430 Hz. To experience the authentic atmosphere of the time, the Poetry Magnifique allows you to switch the tuning to 430 Hz with just three button presses*. After selecting the "PLEYEL3" program and setting the tuning to 430 Hz, you can feel the atmosphere of the music even more intensely. As Chopin himself heard it.
Press the "FUNCTION" button, then the "PIANO" button (to enter the Pitch Setting Mode). Press the “DISPLAY” button to set the tuning to 430 Hz. To return to the standard setting, press the “+/” buttons simultaneously.
About the PLEYEL Piano
The 1843 PLEYEL piano used in the Poetry Magnifique is an exceptional historical piece, created in Chopin’s 33rd year. It was transported in its original condition from France to Japan, where it underwent an extremely delicate restoration process. All parts that needed to be replaced were replaced with locally sourced components, while the remaining parts were purposefully ordered from France. The result is a faithful restoration that preserves the piano in a condition very close to its original form from 1843.

Explanation of the demo songs included with the instrument Poetry

Finish: Satin
The satin finish is popular for its ability to combine the properties of both a glossy and matte finish. This type of finish provides a soft sheen, less intense than gloss but more pronounced than matte. This creates a smooth to touch, lightly reflective surface which gives an elegant and sophisticated appearance. The satin finish is ideal for those looking for a balance between visual appeal and convenience, as it can hide small imperfections and fingerprints better than glossy surfaces.
