Jackson JS Series Spectra Bass JS2P Blue Burst 4-string Bassguitar
The Spectra Bass JS2P provides a sound that is as unique as the bassist playing it. Whether it be funk, hard rock or gospel, a colossal Jackson J-style bridge pickup and P-style neck pickup deliver a range of punchy growls or lucid tones, while the hardtail bridge provides enhanced stability, improved sustain and bolder timbre. Tone can be refined and tweaked with the blend, bass boost and volume controls (with a push/pull selector to bypass or engage the active circuit for the bass boost). The brand-new offset body style was designed with the artist in mind. The poplar body with poplar burl top and large upper horn evenly distributes weight throughout the instrument, providing perfect balance by reducing neck dive for hours of comfortable playing. A bolt-on maple neck with scarf joint design provides rock-solid reliability, while the speed neck contour, 12"-radius laurel fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets make for lightning-fast playability.
Finish: Polished
The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.
Body: Poplar
Poplar is a medium-light wood that produces a well-balanced tone with an emphasis on the mid-range and soft bass. It has a smooth and neutral tonal characteristics. This makes it a versatile material for a wide range of musical styles. Poplar is often used for its affordability and consistent tonal characteristics.
Neck: Maple
Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.
Fretboard: Laurel
Laurel is a medium hard wood with a warm brown tone and fine texture. It provides a well-balanced tone with a softer response, contributing to a comfortable playing experience. The Laurel fingerboard is an affordable alternative to more expensive woods, while offering good stability and a pleasing appearance.
