Compact Mahogany Sound in a Travel-Ready Shell Pack
The Gretsch Drums Catalina Club Mini Bronze Sparkle packs the warm, vintage character of mahogany shells into a small-footprint 4-piece configuration. With a 406 mm (16") bass drum, 330 mm (13") floor tom, 254 mm (10") rack tom, and 330 mm (13") snare, this kit fits cramped club stages, rehearsal rooms, and home setups. The 7-ply mahogany construction and 30° bearing edges deliver the punchy, resonant tone drummers expect from Gretsch, while lightweight mini lugs and triple-flanged hoops keep the load light.
What You Get
The pack includes the four drums plus a bass drum riser and tom holder — cymbals and stands are not included, so you can match it with your preferred setup. Outfitted with Remo drumheads, the kit is ready to play right out of the box.
Shell Material: Mahogany
Mahogany is a rich, warm-toned wood known for its deep and mellow sound. When used in drum shells, mahogany offers a smooth, rounded tone with enhanced low-end warmth and a pronounced midrange. The sound is typically more subdued in the high frequencies, which results in a more vintage feel. Mahogany shells are ideal for genres like blues, jazz, and classic rock where a deeper, more resonant tone is desired.
Number of Plies: 7
The number of layers affects the overall resonance, sustain, and tonal qualities of the drums. With 7 layers, the sound becomes even more focused, providing a deeper low-end response and a tighter midrange, while maintaining smooth and controlled high frequencies.
