Franz Wohlfahrt was a German violin teacher and composer from Leipzig, active in the 19th century. He is best known for his 60 Studies for Violin, Opus 45, which are widely used by beginner violinists and violists. Wohlfahrt studied under Ferdinand David and came from a musical family, with his father working as a piano teacher.
