Fortin N2O Micro Guitar Effect
The Fortin N2O Micro Boost is a compact dual-voiced boost pedal that delivers transparent clean boost or the classic Fortin mid-forward grit in a footprint roughly the size of a matchbox. Built around a discrete FET analog circuit, it offers +17dB of headroom, true bypass switching, and the rare ability to underdrive an amp when used in flat-response mode.
- Dual-voiced architecture: switch between transparent Clean Boost and the signature TS-style mid-forward boost
- Can push an amp into saturation or reduce input gain for tighter rhythm tones
- Discrete FET, 100% analog signal path with +17dB of available boost
- Ultra-compact 49.4 mm × 49.4 mm × 26.4 mm enclosure, built in the U.S.A.
N2O Micro Boost — Tiny Enclosure, Massive Tone Shaping
The Fortin N2O Micro Boost is a compact dual-voiced boost pedal that pushes an amp into saturation, adds transparent volume, or tames a hot input stage. Housed in a 49.4 mm square enclosure, it carries the front-end philosophy Fortin has refined across decades of boost design. The N2O suits guitarists who need surgical gain staging without sacrificing pedalboard space.
Two Voices, Zero Compromise
Two distinct gain stages live inside this pedal. Clean Boost mode offers transparent, high-headroom gain that preserves the player's original tone. Signature Boost mode delivers a TS-style mid-forward hump that tightens low end and adds grit and punch. In flat-response mode, the same circuit can underdrive a hot amp for tighter rhythm tones.
Boost Range and Signal Character
The discrete FET design runs a fully analog signal path with +17dB of available boost for pushing any amp into saturation. A 3DPT true bypass stomp switch preserves tone when disengaged.
- Available Boost: +17 dB — enough headroom to push any amp into saturation
- Circuit Topology: Discrete FET, 100% analog — boutique-grade signal integrity
- True bypass via 3DPT switching preserves tone when disengaged
Power Requirements and Voltage Range
Voltage acceptance spans 9-24V DC from a center-pin-negative external adapter. Current draw is exceptionally low.
- Voltage Range: 9-24 V DC, center-pin negative — flexible headroom options
- Current Draw: 5 mA @ 9 V DC — leaves capacity on shared power supplies
- External adapter only — power supply not included

Тype: Boost
Boost is an effect that increases the signal level without significantly coloring the sound. It is used to amplify the instrument’s output, enhance dynamics, or push the input of an amplifier for a stronger and more aggressive tone. It is commonly applied during solos, to highlight specific parts of playing, or as part of the gain structure in the signal chain. Boost is widely used in rock, metal, and blues music.
True Bypass: Yes
It has a true bypass function, which ensures that when the effects are turned off, the signal passes directly through the unit without influence or degradation.
