The LTD Black Metal Series is comparable in build quality to LTD Deluxe “1000 Series” instruments, but with a dark and menacing design theme of all-black finish, components, and hardware, a single premium-quality bridge pickup, Macassar ebony fingerboards with no inlays and glow-in-the-dark side markers, and even a newly-designed black metal LTD logo on the headstock. With the LTD Phoenix Black Metal, you get a powerful extended-range version of the Phoenix with seven strings and 27” baritone scale. It features neck-thru-body construction using a three-piece mahogany neck and mahogany body wings. The outstanding tones on the Phoenix-7 Baritone Black Metal come from its Fishman Modern 7-String Humbucker pickup, with a push-pull control to select between its Modern Active and Modern Passive voicings. This guitar also features 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, LTD locking tuners, and a TonePros locking TOM bridge with strings-thru-body.
