Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue Washed Bourbon Burst Electric guitar

The 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard is one of the world’s most coveted — and valuable — vintage guitars. It has been embraced by legendary players like Peter Green, Kirk Hammett, and Joe Bonamassa. While the '59 model shares similarities with the 1960 version that followed, it features a few key differences — most notably the slightly thicker and more rounded 1959 Medium C neck profile, which many players prefer over the thinner SlimTaper profile found on 1960 Les Pauls.

Now, Epiphone proudly introduces the 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue, a stunning tribute to those rare '59 models. Created in partnership with Gibson Custom, this reissue delivers the vintage Les Paul look, feel, and performance — all at an accessible price point.

All the classic details of the original 1959 Les Paul Standard are here:

  • A one-piece mahogany neck with a long neck tenon for added stability and sustain

  • An authentic 1959 Rounded Medium C neck profile for a full, comfortable grip

  • A bound rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays

  • An aged mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo and the iconic "Les Paul Model" silkscreened in gold on a Gibson-style “open-book” headstock

  • Even the side dot markers match the size and vintage-accurate placement found on original '59s

The genuine mahogany body is topped with a carved maple cap and finished with a gorgeous AAA flamed maple veneer, giving the guitar that unmistakable burst-era look.

The electronics are top-shelf:

  • Two USA Gibson Custombucker humbuckers with Alnico 3 magnets

  • Hand-wired CTS potentiometers

  • Classic Bumblebee paper-in-oil capacitors

  • Switchcraft toggle switch and 1/4” output jack

The guitar is finished in Vintage Gloss, offering a worn-in, vintage aesthetic without overdoing the relic look. It’s accented beautifully by nickel hardware, including Epiphone Deluxe “Single Ring” Keystone button tuners.

To complete the package, it comes with a brown hardshell case featuring Inspired by Gibson Custom graphics and a plush pink interior — the perfect way to protect and showcase this modern classic.

Тype

Тype: Les Paul

Les Paul is an iconic electric guitar made by Gibson, introduced in 1952. It has a solid body, usually made of mahogany, with a maple top. This gives it a rich sustain and a full, warm tone. It features humbucker pickups that minimize noise and offer a powerful, distorted sound. Les Paul is popular in rock, blues, and heavy metal.

Finish

Finish: Polished

The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.

Body
