Při přímém srovnání se základním modelem ZLX-15P má EKX-15P krásně konzistentní zvukový projev v celém pásmu, o hodně lepší spodní středy a basovou část spektra. Samozřejmě, že adekvátní subwoofer zvukový výsledek korunuje.
EKX má zvuk opravdu příjemný na poslech, v hudbě zachovává barevnost tónů a nevynechává středy. Při zdroji zvuku odpovídající kvality si hravě poradí s jakýmkoliv žánrem hudby.
EKX, přestože umí hrát i decentně potichu, je aktivní reproduktor pro vyšší výkony a hlasitou reprodukci, tedy spíš větší akce, protože při provozu v komorních podmínkách by mohl posluchače trochu rušit hluk vestavěného chladícího ventilátoru (který v nižších modelových řadách ještě není přítomen, proto se víc hřejí).
U 15" modelu je třeba se smířit s vyšší hmotností, kterou ale plně ospravedlňují hudební kvality.

Vynikajúci zvuk, veľa možností nastavenia pritom ale úplne jednoduchá obsluha, zvládne to aj "netechnik", skrátka SUPER.
