Cascha HH 2154L Natural Tenor Ukulele

The Solid Top Ukulele convinces right from the start by the very good workmanship. The top is made of solid spruce wood. The beautiful and even grain is not only an optical highlight. As top wood for ukuleles and acoustic guitars spruce provides a full sound and a powerful feedback. Since it is somewhat softer, it transmits vibrations more easily. The noble matt-finish was specially chosen so as not to impair the sound. The built-in strap pins allow the attachment of ukulele straps. This increases comfort and mobility while playing.
The ukulele in natural look is strung at the factory with original Aquila Nylgut strings. These nylon strings provide a clear sound and great playability. Because of the built in tuners the Solid Top Ukulele always keeps the tuning perfect. This makes playing the ukulele fun!

Finish

Finish: Satin

The satin finish is popular for its ability to combine the properties of both a glossy and matte finish. This type of finish provides a soft sheen, less intense than gloss but more pronounced than matte. This creates a smooth to touch, lightly reflective surface which gives an elegant and sophisticated appearance. The satin finish is ideal for those looking for a balance between visual appeal and convenience, as it can hide small imperfections and fingerprints better than glossy surfaces.

Top

Top: Solid Spruce

The solid spruce top offers clear, penetrating tone with exceptional projection. The sound is dynamic and balanced, with rich highs and solid bass. Over time, the tone evolves and improves, adding more depth and complexity to the sound.

Neck

Neck: Mahogany

The guitar features a mahogany neck for excellent strength and stability. Mahogany is known for its great resonance, contributing to a warm, rich tone with a distinctive mid-range.

Fretboard

Fretboard: Rosewood

Rosewood is a dark, dense wood that offers a warm, rich tone with excellent response and sustain. The rosewood fingerboard is valued for its smoothness and comfortable feel while offering durability and longevity. It is popular for its rich sound and classic aesthetic.

Wysoka akcja strun powodowana brakiem odpowiedniego doszlifowania stopki i mostka powoduje problemy z intonacją.

High string action caused by the lack of proper sanding of the foot and bridge causes problems with intonation. Fortunately, two hours with files and it turns out that it is quite a playable instrument. The lack of markers on the side of the fretboard is a bit surprising. Initially, I sent it as a right-handed neck, but to my surprise there are no markers on the other side either. The HH2154L ukulele is a bit smaller than a typical tenor, more like a larger concert guitar. Fortunately, after the right setup, it is quite a decent instrument. Clean wood without dirt, assembly without major shortcomings, sound is fine. The instrument is worth the price in the range of PLN 300-350. Overall rating 3.75
