Boney M. is a German music group formed in 1974, blending reggae, funk, and disco. Founded by producer Frank Farian in West Germany, the original line-up featured singers from Jamaica, Montserrat, and Aruba. The group became internationally famous during the late 1970s with hits like Daddy Cool, Rivers of Babylon, Rasputin, and Ma Baker. Known for their energetic performances and catchy songs, Boney M. sold over 100 million records and scored multiple chart-topping singles in Germany and the UK. Different versions of the band have continued to tour since the 1980s.
