Beyerdynamic TG I53c Overhead microphone
Condenser microphone for instruments with cardioid polar pattern and very wide frequency response (20 Hz-20 kHz) which opens up a variety of possible applications - from hi-hats and overheads to percussion, string and brass instruments and even choir singing. It provides a subtle treble boost and excellent detail reproduction really excels. Because of its high sensitivity, it is also suitable for longer microphone placement distances, for example for large sound sources with complex radiation patterns. Microphone features the Sound Channelling Technology that consists of an optimally positioned treble resonator for improved high-range reproduction, a 2nd treble resonator within the system and special sound holes for a frequency independent polar pattern. It is both light and rugged due to the carbon fibre reinforced housing. Dimensions 100 x 19.5 mm. Weight: 36 g.
Frequency Range: 20 Hz - 20 kHz
The frequency response 20 Hz - 20 kHz provides a wide enough range to capture all the fine musical and sonic details.
Polar Pattern: Cardioid
The cardioid directional microphone is designed to be most sensitive to sounds coming directly from the front and less sensitive to sounds coming from the sides and back. This directional pattern resembles the shape of a heart (hence the name "cardioid") and is ideal for situations where it is necessary to focus on a single sound source and minimize ambient noise.
