Allen & Heath dLive DM0U Rack Mixing Desk

The Allen & Heath dLive DM0U MixRack is the most compact S Class digital mixing engine in the dLive V2 range, packing the full 128×64 processing matrix into a 4U chassis with the RackUltra FX card built in. Built around Allen & Heath's XCVI FPGA core, it delivers 96 kHz audio with a 96-bit accumulator and class-leading latency under 0.7 ms, giving live engineers studio-grade clarity for front-of-house, monitor and broadcast work. Three 128-channel I/O ports accept Dante, MADI and Waves SoundGrid cards, while dual-redundant gigaACE and DX links support up to 28 networked I/O expanders and four dLive Surfaces. The DM0U is the right choice for touring professionals, houses of worship and broadcast facilities that need flagship dLive processing in a rack-friendly footprint.

  • Compact 4U MixRack with built-in RackUltra FX card for advanced vocal and reverb processing
  • XCVI FPGA core: 128 inputs × 64 outputs at 96 kHz with 96-bit accumulator and <0.7 ms latency
  • Three 128-channel I/O ports plus dual-redundant gigaACE and DX links for up to 28 expanders
  • 64-bus architecture, 24 DCAs, 64-channel Automatic Mic Mixing and 8 RackUltra FX engines

Flagship dLive Processing in a 4U Footprint

The Allen & Heath dLive DM0U MixRack is the smallest S Class MixRack in the dLive V2 range, condensing the full dLive processing engine into a 4U rack chassis. It runs the same XCVI 160×64 FPGA core used across the family, delivering 128 input channels and 64 mix outputs at 96 kHz with a 96-bit accumulator for virtually infinite headroom. Class-leading latency under 0.7 ms keeps phase relationships intact, which matters for in-ear monitoring and complex broadcast workflows. The DM0U ships with the RackUltra FX card already installed, giving engineers a complete vocal and reverb toolkit out of the box.

What Sets the DM0U Apart

The defining feature is the included RackUltra FX card, bringing eight dedicated FX engines with stereo sends, returns and pre/post processing into the smallest MixRack in the range. The card adds Spaces Reverb Designer, Plate Reverb Designer, Vocal Shifter, Vocal Tuner, Vocal Gridder, three Harmoniser modes, Saturator and Amp+Cab Distortion. Combined with 16 RackExtra FX returns, 24 DCAs and 64 channels of Automatic Mic Mixing, this model delivers a processing density that rivals much larger consoles.

XCVI Processing Engine — Pristine 96 kHz Audio

The XCVI core defines the sonic character of every dLive MixRack, and the DM0U inherits the full engine without compromise. Variable bit depth throughout the signal path optimises noise performance, while the 96-bit accumulator provides the headroom needed for the most dynamic live sources.

  • Mix Engine: XCVI 160×64 FPGA core — the same processing architecture used across the dLive family
  • Sample Rate: 96 kHz with variable bit depth for optimal noise performance
  • Latency: <0.7 ms — class-leading for live monitoring and broadcast work
  • Mix Matrix: 128 inputs × 64 outputs with full processing on every channel

Connectivity — Three I/O Ports and Dual-Redundant Links

Three I/O ports each carry 128 channels at 96 kHz and accept Dante, MADI, Waves SoundGrid and other protocol cards. Dual-redundant gigaACE and DX links support up to 28 networked I/O expanders and four dLive Surfaces, while a dedicated ME-1 48 kHz port feeds personal monitoring systems directly.

  • I/O Ports: 3 × 128-channel slots for Dante, MADI, Waves SoundGrid and other protocol cards
  • Surface Link: Dual-redundant gigaACE for connection to up to 4 dLive Surfaces
  • Expansion Links: 2 × DX links (dual redundant) supporting up to 28 DX I/O expanders
  • Personal Monitoring: Dedicated ME-1 48 kHz port plus 2 network ports and Wordclock BNC I/O

Mix Architecture — 64-Bus, 24 DCA and Built-In FX

A configurable 64-bus architecture lets the DM0U serve as a front-of-house, monitor or broadcast engine without compromise. LR, LCR and 5.1 mains modes, multiple PFLs and 24 DCAs cover the most demanding show layouts, while the RackUltra FX card adds eight dedicated engines with stereo sends and returns.

  • Bus Architecture: 64 configurable buses (group, FX, aux, matrix, mains) with LR, LCR and 5.1 modes
  • DCA Groups: 24 DCAs for fast mix management during complex shows
  • Automatic Mic Mixing: 64 channels across 1, 2 or 4 zones for conferences and panel discussions
  • Built-In FX: 8 RackUltra FX + 16 RackExtra FX with dedicated stereo returns

Touring Engineers, Broadcasters and Fixed Installations

The DM0U is the right choice for live sound professionals who need flagship dLive processing in a compact, rack-friendly format. Touring engineers benefit from the 4U footprint, hot-swappable redundant PSU and dual-redundant audio connections that keep shows running even if a link fails. Houses of worship, theatres and corporate AV teams appreciate the 64-channel Automatic Mic Mixing for panel discussions and the RackUltra FX vocal chain for spoken word and music. Broadcast facilities gain a phase-aligned, ultra-low-latency engine that integrates cleanly with MADI, Dante and Waves SoundGrid networks, while reversible rack ears and an ultra-quiet fan suit control rooms and OB trucks alike.

Allen & Heath and the dLive Legacy

Allen & Heath has designed professional mixing consoles from its Cornwall, England headquarters for decades, and the dLive platform represents the company's flagship digital system. The DM0U continues that lineage by bringing the full XCVI processing engine into the smallest MixRack form factor yet, with the RackUltra FX card standard. A three-year warranty reflects the company's commitment to long-term reliability for professional users.
