Signal processing of the original file is performed optimally and with unprecedented musicality, and even 16-bit/44.1 kHz PCM files exhibit an astonishing level of sound quality. The interface’s stereo headphone amp delivers 158 mW of power on each channel, providing super-high output that produces more than enough volume, even when using high-impedance headphones. On stage and in other high dB situations, no mixer or external headphone amp are needed to ensure proper volume levels, providing precise monitoring in just about any environment. The interface offers four different modes of output to choose from based on user’s needs: normal two-channel mode allows two people to monitor the same audio with two sets of headphones, while four-channel mode provides two independent stereo channels, so user can use one of them for cue monitoring or a click track. There is also a two-channel balanced mode, which provides a balanced stereo output for connecting to high-end device. For simply enjoying high-res audio sources, the interface delivers excellent performance as a DA converter. It outputs DSD or PCM audio on two stereo channels, and allows for interfacing with a variety of devices. With the two-channel balanced mode, user is able to connect with pro studio monitors that support balanced inputs. Alternately, the interface can be used as a headphone amp with balanced outputs. This allows for monitoring with the balanced-drive headphones popular with audio enthusiasts, creating a no-compromise audiophile listening system that travels anywhere.
